DescriptionThe whole story▼
Screw self drilling flange ST4.2x16, Öhlins part number 25615-01. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Öhlins part number 25615-01
Function
Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why. Spacers set the internal geometry of the unit, which means their length is a specification and not a filler. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it.
Original Öhlins Part
Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.
Getting the Number Right
Öhlins identifies this position by the number 25615-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at the same time, which is why the grade matters. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry.
Fitting and Setup Service
A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.
