DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the 2025 Stark Varg EX, Öhlins supplies part number FFX 2305. Öhlins supplies this as one assembly, tested as one assembly.
Key Features
- Öhlins fits a 4.9 spring to this application
- Bolts to the Stark Varg EX (2025) using the standard mounting points
- Fitted spring: Öhlins 08765-49
- 301 mm of travel at the damper
Damping and Adjustment
The 943 mm length is dictated by the Varg EX's own geometry. Stroke is 301 mm, which is the travel Öhlins has to work with on this linkage. The spring carries Öhlins number 08765-49 and can be exchanged for a different rate without replacing the damper. Rate as supplied is 4.9, matched by Öhlins to this machine rather than to the platform. Öhlins supplies a baseline setting sheet with the fork. Each function has its own adjuster, which is what allows one change to be judged honestly.
Where This Sits in the Öhlins Line-up
The RXF 48 is Öhlins' motocross and enduro fork, and the S version adds the spring conversion — a coil spring in place of the air system many current forks use. The assembly drops into the standard triple clamps on the models it is listed for. Air springs need checking before every ride and change their rate as they heat; a coil does neither.
Materials and Manufacture
Öhlins applies a low-friction coating to the sliding surfaces on most fork numbers, which reduces stiction. Öhlins sets a baseline for each part number on the machine it was developed on, so it works before anything is adjusted. Öhlins machines its own critical components instead of buying them in, and the tolerances are where the money goes.
Fitment and Compatibility
Öhlins releases FFX 2305 against the Stark Varg EX (2025). Nothing about it is generic — the mounting dimensions alone rule out a different model.
Road Approval
Road approval: not documented by Öhlins for the Stark Varg EX. We do not state an approval we cannot evidence — please confirm the current status with us before ordering if you intend to use the motorcycle on public roads.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting matters as much as the part. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and carry out installation, servicing and setup ourselves — get in touch and we will arrange it alongside your order.
