Setting It Up for the TE 125
Enduro machines spend hours at low speed over roots and rock before the first fast section arrives, and the suspension has to be plush there without collapsing later. At 125 cc the TE 125 makes enough torque to load the rear hard on corner exit, and the damper has to keep the wheel in contact while that happens.
How the Fork Works
The damper moves 298 mm from full extension to full compression. Length is 940 mm and is not adjustable on this number. Fill specification is 1330, which is part of the setting rather than a detail. Rate as supplied is 4,3 N/mm, matched by Öhlins to this machine rather than to the platform. Öhlins supplies a baseline setting sheet with the fork. Preload is adjusted separately from damping, and the two should not be confused.
About the RXF 48 S Range
Öhlins built the RXF 48 for off-road racing: 48 mm tubes, separate compression and rebound adjustment, and in the S specification a coil spring rather than an air chamber. Riders coming from an air fork usually report that the biggest change is consistency rather than outright plushness. Compression and rebound are adjusted separately at the fork tops, in clicks rather than by feel.
Materials and Manufacture
Shafts are hardened and surface-treated so the seal has a consistent surface to run against. Fork springs are separate catalogue items and can be changed without dismantling the cartridge. Machining, anodising, assembly and testing all happen in the same building rather than across a supply chain.
Fitment and Compatibility
What follows applies to the Husqvarna TE 125 built 2026, which is the machine FFX 2304 is listed for. 22 machines in the range take this number, the Husqvarna TE 125 among them. Öhlins notes for this application: 02428 - spring series *Replaces FFX 1304*
