What It Is
At 50.34 mm, 3.53 mm, NBR 70 it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. An O-ring seals by being squeezed into its groove; the cross-section is therefore as important as the diameter. Static seals and dynamic seals are not interchangeable even in the same size. Replacing seals at service intervals is far cheaper than replacing what a failed seal damages.

How to Be Sure It Fits
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00438-09 in this case. Check inner diameter 50.34 mm, cross section 3.53 mm, material NBR 70 against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. O-rings are single-use in a pressurised damper — they are replaced whenever the unit is opened.
