DescriptionThe whole story▼
Guide sleeve 12/230/25, Öhlins part number 21663-03. A worn bushing lets the shaft move off centre, and the seal is the next thing to fail.
Key Features

- Length 25 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Outer Diameter 230 mm
- Inner Diameter 12 mm
Where It Sits
Dimensionally this is 12 mm, 230 mm, 25 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Bushings carry the side load in a damper or fork and keep the moving parts concentric. A worn bushing lets the shaft move off centre, and the seal is the next thing to fail. Both diameters and the length are specification rather than approximation.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.
How to Be Sure It Fits
21663-03 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The published dimensions are inner diameter 12 mm, outer diameter 230 mm, length 25 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Guides and sleeves set the internal alignment of a cartridge. Both diameters and the length are specification, not approximation.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
