Manufacture and Tolerance
The Öhlins part number is stamped on the unit, so its specification can be looked up years later. Öhlins manufactures in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm, and assembles and tests every unit there before it ships. Seals are specified for temperature stability rather than for the lowest unit cost.

Torque the fork caps to the manufacturer's figure; the springs change nothing about the assembly torque. Both legs are done together, and both take the same rate. Check the free length against the old springs before fitting — a sagged original often measures short.
Road Approval
Road approval: not applicable to the spring on its own. Öhlins issues approvals against complete suspension units, not individual springs.
