DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Öhlins FKR 215 exists because the Ducati Panigale V2 955 (2020–2024) needed its own settings, not a shared set. A cartridge kit changes the part of the fork that actually generates damping and leaves the rest alone.
Key Features
- Spring part number See notes fitted
- Stroke: 120 mm
- Model-specific fitment for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 (2020–2024) — no modification required
How Öhlins Builds It
The Öhlins part number is stamped on the unit, so its specification can be looked up years later. Service parts stay available for years after a part number leaves the current price list. Materials read unremarkably on paper — aluminium, steel, nitrogen — and the difference lies in how precisely they are made.
What Changes Inside the Fork
Damping was developed with 01309 in the unit. Stroke is 120 mm, which is the travel Öhlins has to work with on this linkage. Öhlins identifies the spring as See notes. Compression and rebound become separately adjustable, which on most standard forks they were not. Setting front-end support under braking no longer means also changing how quickly the fork returns.
Fitted to the Panigale V2 955
This part number spans model years 2020 to 2024; earlier and later generations take different numbers. On a supersport machine, front-end feel under braking is what the rider trusts, and damping is what provides it. A 955 cc machine of this type sits in a specific weight band, and Öhlins picks the spring rate for that band rather than for the platform.
About the FKR 200 Range
It uses the same TTX 25 twin-tube cartridge, with mounting and lengths set for the newer chassis. Öhlins supplies model-matched springs with the kit. Öhlins releases these numbers alongside new model launches, which is why the range keeps growing.
Fitment and Compatibility
What follows applies to the Ducati Panigale V2 955 built 2020–2024, which is the machine FKR 215 is listed for. The number is shared with 5 sibling models that use the same mounting and settings, and this listing covers the Ducati Panigale V2 955. Öhlins notes for this application: Comes with 3 different spring rates: 9.5 ,10 & 10.5N/mm Fits base version with showa forks. *Replaces FKR 115*
Road Approval
Road approval: none for Germany. Öhlins supplies this part without a German type approval for the Ducati Panigale V2 955, which means it is not covered for use on public roads under StVZO. Track and closed-course use only.
Important Notes
- Fits models with the original Showa fork only.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins suspension rewards careful fitting. We recommend having the work done by an authorised Öhlins service centre — and we are one ourselves: we fit, service and set up Öhlins components in house. If you would like us to handle the installation, just ask and we will quote it with the order.
