TTX Technology and Performance
The TTX platform that underpins the FKR 125 was developed directly from Öhlins' Grand Prix racing programme. By separating the compression and rebound damping circuits within a twin-tube architecture, the system pressurises oil via a mechanical spring rather than a gas charge. The result is a damping response that does not degrade as fork oil temperature climbs through a long race stint — a meaningful safety and performance advantage when consistent corner-entry behaviour is essential.
The updated 8 mm piston rod reduces the hydraulic force required to initiate movement, making the fork more reactive to small track surface disturbances without sacrificing mid-stroke support under hard braking. Combined with the linear damping curve, this means tuning adjustments produce predictable, proportional changes — critical when fine-tuning between sessions on unfamiliar circuits.
Track Application and Installation
The Öhlins FKR 125 Cartridge Kit is designed and approved for race and track use only. It is not homologated for public road use and is supplied without a parts certificate (Teilegutachten) for Germany. Installation must be carried out by an authorised Öhlins Service Centre; correct assembly is essential to ensure the system operates safely and within its design parameters. Inter-Pace strongly advises against self-installation by unqualified persons.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is developed specifically for the SP variant of the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R. It is not compatible with the standard (non-SP) CBR 1000 RR-R model. Always verify the SP designation before ordering.
