DescriptionThe whole story▼
This is the Öhlins FKR 134 for the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890, model year 2025. Fork internals are where manufacturers save money, because nobody sees them.
Key Features
- 120 mm of damper stroke
- Built for the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890 (2025); fits without modification
- Spring part number See notes fitted
How Öhlins Builds It
Everything in the kit is serviceable with standard Öhlins parts. Anodising is hard-coat rather than decorative, which matters on a component exposed to road salt and stone chips. Springs come with the kit and are catalogue items in their own right if a different rate is needed.
Where This Sits in the Öhlins Line-up
Compression and rebound circuits are separate and both pressurised, which keeps damping stable as the fork heats. The kit fits inside the standard fork legs, so the bike keeps its own tubes, yokes and mounting. The FKR kit puts Öhlins' TTX 25 cartridge into the standard fork legs.
Setting It Up for the Panigale V2 S 890
Track use raises oil temperature quickly, and a damper that fades takes confidence with it. At 890 cc the Panigale V2 S 890 makes enough torque to load the rear hard on corner exit, and the damper has to keep the wheel in contact while that happens.
Damping Performance
Spring See notes is what ships with the damper; harder and softer rates are available. Öhlins specifies 01309 for this application, and the damping curve assumes that oil. Length is 760.5 mm and is not adjustable on this number. Stroke is 120 mm, which is the travel Öhlins has to work with on this linkage. Each fork leg takes one function, so each adjuster has a single, clear effect. Compression and rebound become separately adjustable, which on most standard forks they were not.
Fitment and Compatibility
Öhlins part number FKR 134 is the correct number for the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890 as built 2025. It is model-specific rather than universal: length, stroke and valving are all set for this chassis. Öhlins notes for this application: Comes with 3 different spring rates: 9.5 ,10 & 10.5N/mm Fits base version with showa forks. *Replaces FGR 179*
Road Approval
Road approval: not documented by Öhlins for the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890. We do not state an approval we cannot evidence — please confirm the current status with us before ordering if you intend to use the motorcycle on public roads.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins suspension rewards careful fitting. We recommend having the work done by an authorised Öhlins service centre — and we are one ourselves: we fit, service and set up Öhlins components in house. If you would like us to handle the installation, just ask and we will quote it with the order.
