DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Öhlins FGRT 204 is a purpose-built road and track upside-down fork that brings national Superbike championship technology directly to your Honda CBR 1000 RR. Rooted in Öhlins' decades of motorsport heritage, this fork combines a beautifully engineered finish with the suspension performance that serious sport riders demand — on road or at the circuit.
Key Features
- Incorporates the Öhlins 30 mm Cartridge Kit proven in national Superbike championships, delivering race-grade damping in a road-legal package
- Independent compression and rebound adjustment at the fork leg for precise tuning to your riding style and circuit conditions
- Upside-down architecture reduces unsprung mass compared to conventional forks, sharpening steering response and improving brake stability
- 120 mm of travel and a 10.0 N/mm spring rate calibrated for the CBR 1000 RR's weight and power delivery
- Compatible with ABS and non-ABS variants of the 2012–2019 CBR 1000 RR
- Carries ABE type approval for Germany, confirming road legality
Design, Finish and Heritage
Every FGRT 204 reflects the visual identity that Öhlins has refined since its earliest Grand Prix programmes — machined aluminium legs finished to a standard that stands apart from OEM hardware the moment you set eyes on the bike. The upside-down layout keeps the stiffer, larger-diameter tubes at the top where rigidity matters most, while the polished lowers and Öhlins branding communicate exactly what this fork is built to do. This is suspension that looks as purposeful as it performs.
Performance on Road and Track
On the road the FGRT 204 transforms the CBR 1000 RR's front-end feel, delivering consistent, communicative feedback under hard braking and through direction changes. The 30 mm cartridge internals — drawn straight from the Superbike paddock — allow fine damping adjustments that most riders will feel immediately, whether the priority is a composed daily ride or maximum corner-entry aggression on track. A total fork length of 710 mm keeps the chassis geometry within OEM parameters so no additional geometry work is required.
