Where It Sits
01010-23 is the 46 mm, 198 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears. Twin-tube dampers use two concentric tubes, and both are listed separately. Öhlins turns and hones each tube to a defined roundness, because an out-of-round bore leaks past the piston.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.
Identifying the Right Part
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 01010-23.
