DescriptionThe whole story▼
Banjo bolt M14x1.5, Öhlins part number 05073-02. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 05073-02
- Thread M14x1.5
- Original Öhlins service part
Function
Öhlins publishes thread M14x1.5 for 05073-02 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon.
Original Öhlins Part
Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.
Getting the Number Right
05073-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The thread is M14x1.5. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
