- Dimension C 21 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension B 32 mm
Function
This one measures 16 mm, 32 mm, 21 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.
Identifying the Right Part
05536-30 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The published dimensions are dimension a 16 mm, dimension b 32 mm, dimension c 21 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Thread size and length identify the fastener; substituting a hardware-store equivalent is not sensible in a pressurised damper. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once.
Fitting and Setup Service
Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.
