Key Features
- Dimension A 1.5 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Thread M46x1.5
- Öhlins part number 21653-22
- Dimension B 22 mm
Where It Sits
The published figures are 1.5 mm, 22 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.
Genuine Service Part
This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.
How to Be Sure It Fits
Order under 21653-22. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. dimension a 1.5 mm, dimension b 22 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
