The Nexx Y.10 Plain has a very clean look at the side of the shell: where the visor pivots, it shows a smooth black cap instead of the chrome rings used on other Y.10 versions. This genuine Nexx fixing kit carries the Plain name in the Nexx price list and contains the parts that hold the visor at both pivots, including those caps.

The product photo shows two complete sets, one for the left and one for the right side. Each set is made of four parts:
- a smooth, round black cover cap
- a black pivot ring with openings for the cap
- a black base plate with locating lugs
- a countersunk screw
The cap clips onto the pivot ring and hides the screw, which gives the Plain its uncluttered side view.
How the cap works
The Y.10 manual has its own page for the plastic cover. To fit it, place the cover and turn it until it locks; to remove it, turn it the other way and lift it off. Before the visor can be taken off, the cover must be removed, then the screw is undone on both sides and the visor is pulled off. Refitting follows the reverse order: snap the visor on, position it with the marking at the top, screw it down and put the cover back on.
Typical reasons to replace it
Cover caps are small and can get lost when the visor is removed for cleaning. A cap that no longer locks, a broken pivot ring or a stripped screw are further reasons. With a new kit the visor sits firmly again and the side of the helmet looks as it did on delivery.

Look at the visor pivot of your helmet. Smooth black caps, as on the Y.10 Plain in Black MT and White, mean this kit. Covers with chrome rings, as on the Y.10 Midtown and Sunny, need the other Y.10 visor fixing kit. Both kits are listed for the Nexx Y.10 only.
