DescriptionThe whole story▼
Swap the road fairing of a Ducati Panigale V4 S for a set of race bodywork, built from 2025, and the stock radiators are suddenly carried by brackets they were never designed to use alone. Ducati's own build does not treat the small lugs on top of the water radiator as load-bearing, so clamping a race fairing straight onto them is not something the manufacturer recommends. Melotti Racing's Radiator Support Kit was engineered to take over that job properly, holding both radiators in place the way the factory pairing of fairing and cooling pack intended.
Key Features
- Radiator support kit for the Ducati Panigale V4 S, 2025 onward, built for a race-fairing conversion
- Melotti part SR.DU.325.1
- Upper support, wing-profile aluminium alloy, 3D CNC-machined from solid
- Two ABS guide spacers positioning the upper support correctly
- Two spear-shaped stainless-steel rods bracing the oil radiator
- Aluminium alloy strut connecting the engine block to the oil radiator
- Two ABS clips for the movable shutter paddles, with mounting screws
- All structural parts together weigh 250 g
Construction and Material Quality
At the core of the SR.DU.325.1 is an aluminium alloy upper support, machined from solid using 3D CNC technology and shaped like a small wing to echo the line of the standard shroud. ABS spacers set its position accurately, while two stainless-steel rods in a spear profile hold the oil radiator without blocking the air that would otherwise pass straight through it, and a further aluminium strut ties the engine block to that same radiator. Melotti's development team worked specifically on mass: the finished kit adds just 250 g of structural parts to the bike, a figure it reached without compromising the fixing itself.
Rebuilding After a Fall, Correctly
Anyone who has had to put a Panigale V4 S back together after a fall knows that race fairings often follow close behind, and the radiators are one of the first things a rebuild has to deal with once the stock panels are gone. Fitting them back onto load-bearing lugs that Ducati itself says were never meant to take that strain is a shortcut that tends to come back as a cracked radiator later in the season. Melotti's kit was engineered against exactly that risk, mirroring the stock shroud's geometry closely enough to keep using the bike's own movable paddles so the cooling package still breathes properly once the race bodywork goes back on, and it was proven across the demanding EWC endurance season by the Aviobike-WRS team.
Fitment and Compatibility
Melotti lists the SR.DU.325.1 for the Panigale V4 S from 2025, with the same kit also catalogued for the standard Panigale V4 of the same build years. It is built around the stock water and oil radiators of this generation and does not replace them. It can be combined with Melotti's own top yoke, dashboard protector and steering damper kit for the same bike without conflict.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or similar certificate for the SR.DU.325.1, so it is sold for racetrack and closed-course use, in line with the race fairings it is usually fitted under. It is not meant for unregistered road use, and race organisers apply their own rules at a meeting.
