DescriptionThe whole story▼
Once the original fairing of a Ducati Panigale V4 comes off for a race build, the stock radiators lose the support they were designed around, and bolting them hard to the small lugs welded on top of the water radiator is something Ducati itself advises against, since those lugs were never meant to carry load. Melotti Racing's Radiator Support Kit was developed to hold the standard V4 radiators in place after the switch to race fairings, built for 2025 onward, without putting stress where the factory never intended it.
Key Features
- Radiator support kit for the Ducati Panigale V4, 2025 onward, for track use after a fairing change
- Melotti part SR.DU.325.1
- Upper support with a wing-shaped profile, aluminium alloy, machined from solid with 3D CNC technology
- Two ABS guide spacers for correct positioning of the upper support
- Two oil-radiator support rods in stainless steel, spear-shaped to keep airflow clean
- One aluminium alloy strut linking the engine block to the oil radiator
- Two ABS clips for the radiator shutter paddles, plus mounting screws
- Total weight of the structural parts kept to 250 g
Construction and Material Quality
The upper support that carries most of the load is machined from solid aluminium alloy with 3D CNC technology and shaped like a small wing, a profile that follows the line of the stock shroud rather than fighting it. Two ABS spacers guide it into the correct position, two stainless-steel rods shaped like spearheads brace the oil radiator without disturbing airflow around them, and a further aluminium alloy strut ties the engine block to the oil radiator itself. Melotti's own development work pushed hard on weight, and the finished structural parts of the SR.DU.325.1 add up to only 250 g on the bike.
Proven Over 24 Hours at Le Mans
Melotti's engineering team tested the kit against the kind of use that exposes a weak fixing fastest, and for the 2025 endurance season the Aviobike-WRS team ran this exact radiator support through the EWC world championship, including a round at Le Mans, where every mechanical part on the bike is stressed for 24 continuous hours. That is also why the upper support does more than hold the radiators still: its shape mirrors the factory shroud closely enough to keep using the Panigale V4's own movable shutter paddles, so the cooling package loses as little air as possible at the top of the radiator even after the original fairing is gone. No modification to any other part of the bike is needed to fit it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Melotti lists the SR.DU.325.1 for the Panigale V4 from 2025, and the identical kit is also catalogued in our shop for the Panigale V4 S of the same build years, since both share the same radiator layout once the stock fairing is removed. It is built specifically for the stock water and oil radiators; it is not a substitute for them. Combine it as needed with a Melotti top yoke, dashboard protector or steering damper kit for the same V4.
Road Approval
No ABE or comparable approval exists for the SR.DU.325.1, so it is supplied for racetrack and closed-circuit use, consistent with the race fairings it is normally fitted alongside. It is not intended for unregistered use on public roads in Germany, and a race meeting's own technical rules apply on the day.
Scope of Delivery
One SR.DU.325.1 kit: the upper support, two ABS guide spacers, two stainless-steel support rods, the connecting strut, two ABS paddle clips and the mounting screws, complete for the Panigale V4.
