DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Ecumaster ADU5 V.2 is the single dashboard used throughout the WorldSSP300 class, which means a very wide range of small-displacement race bikes carry exactly the same unit on their subframe. Melotti Racing's Impact Absorber for the ADU5 V.2 protects it the same way as the rest of the range, with a solid aluminium alloy case and a technopolymer front panel, but the support subframe that carries the case onto the bike is sold separately, and today that bracket exists only for the Yamaha R3.
Key Features
- Impact absorber for the Ecumaster ADU5 V.2, the dashboard used in the WorldSSP300 class
- Machined from solid aluminium alloy
- Technopolymer front panel protects the LCD screen
- Quick-fix front panel mounting, no tool needed
- Minimal bulk to fit on racing subframes
- Elastic mounting absorbs impact and vibration without damaging the electronics
- Support subframe sold separately, currently only available for the Yamaha R3
- Anodised black finish
Construction and Material Quality
Machined from solid aluminium alloy with a technopolymer front panel over the ADU5 V.2's screen, this case uses the same quick-fix front panel and elastic internal mounting as the rest of Melotti Racing's dashboard range, so no tool is needed to lift the panel and the dashboard itself is isolated from shock and vibration rather than bolted rigidly to the subframe. The case is kept compact enough to sit on a racing subframe without extra clearance work.
A Dash Built for One Racing Class
Because the ADU5 V.2 is standardised across WorldSSP300, teams running different makes of small-displacement race bike in that class could, in principle, all use this same Impact Absorber case, but the bracket that actually carries it onto a given subframe still has to be made for that specific bike. Melotti Racing currently offers that support bracket only for the Yamaha R3, so a team running a different make in the class should check with us before assuming the case alone is enough to fit it.
Fitment and Compatibility
This Impact Absorber case fits the Ecumaster ADU5 V.2 dashboard on its own, but the support subframe needed to mount it is ordered separately and, at the time of writing, is only available for the Yamaha R3. If you run a different bike in the WorldSSP300 class, contact us before ordering to check whether a bracket exists for it.
Road Approval
No type approval or test certificate is on file for this dashboard protector. Melotti Racing sells it for racetrack and closed-circuit use, and a bike carrying this dashboard and mount is not approved for public roads in Germany without separate registration.
Scope of Delivery
One anodised black Impact Absorber case with technopolymer front panel for the Ecumaster ADU5 V.2; the support subframe is not included and is ordered separately.
