DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Streetfighter V4 S, built alongside the base Streetfighter V4 from 2020, pairs the same naked styling with Ducati's electronic suspension, and like every V4-based model it carries the factory AIS secondary air system that a club racer or trackday regular has no use for. Melotti Racing's AIS Valve Cover Set, AIS.DU.3181, gives this Streetfighter V4 S a pair of machined aluminium covers once the AIS system has been removed, closing the ports properly rather than leaving them for dirt and oil mist to find.
Key Features
- AIS valve cover set for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S, 2020 to 2026
- Melotti Racing part AIS.DU.3181, a two-piece set
- Machined aluminium construction
- Reed valves are left untouched, sealed by the existing gasket
- Also listed for the base Streetfighter V4
- Also listed for the fully faired Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R
- No ABE on this part on file; for racing and closed-circuit use
Construction and Material Quality
Each AIS.DU.3181 cover is machined from aluminium, and the pair fits over the factory AIS valve positions on the Streetfighter V4 S cylinder head without the reed valves underneath ever coming out. The gasket that sealed those valves before the AIS system was removed carries on doing exactly that job once the new cover is fitted in its place. As with the rest of this part number's range, the kit is a simple two-cover set, with nothing further to seal or thread beyond fitting the covers themselves.
The S Version's First AIS Delete
A Streetfighter V4 S bought with club racing in mind usually goes through the same early preparation as any other trackday conversion, stripping away road equipment one item at a time, and the AIS system is a predictable early entry on that list given how little it has to do with the bike's performance. Fitting the covers properly the first time, with the reed valve gasket doing its job as intended rather than being disturbed unnecessarily, avoids having to revisit the job later once the bike is already committed to a race season.
Fitment and Compatibility
Our listing for this electronically suspended naked bike runs from 2020 to 2026, matching the range Melotti's price list gives under the same part number as the base Streetfighter and all three faired Panigale versions. Melotti lists no alternative AIS cover for any of these models.
Road Approval
Melotti holds no ABE for this cover set, and neither do we, nor a German parts certificate or an EC type-approval. It is made for racing and other closed-circuit use; using it on German public roads without a documented entry is not permitted, and race organisers decide their own technical rules for any meeting.
Scope of Delivery
The set includes both AIS.DU.3181 covers. No additional screws, seals or tools are supplied with this kit.
