DescriptionThe whole story▼
The plastic spout fitted to most racing brake and clutch master cylinders is one of the first things to snap in a crash, and once it does, the pump usually needs replacing along with it. Melotti Racing's stainless steel 0-degree hose fitting kit swaps that spout for a part built to survive the same impact, designed for use in the Supersport and Superbike classes where a cracked spout can end a session.
Key Features
- Stainless steel hose-barb fitting kit, 0-degree straight angle, for racing master cylinders
- Replaces the original plastic spout to cut the risk of breakage after a fall
- Fits racing brake and clutch pumps using the same oil-recovery spout-and-gasket system
- Includes a Brembo gasket and a 15 cm Brembo rubber hose for the reservoir-to-pump connection
- Includes 2 clips to secure the hose
- Fittings supplied exclusively in stainless steel, matching Melotti Racing's custom brake hose systems
Construction and Material Quality
The straight, 0-degree spout at the centre of this kit is machined in stainless steel rather than moulded plastic, and it installs on racing brake or clutch pumps using the same oil-recovery system as the original part, spout with gasket, so no other change to the pump is needed. The kit includes a Brembo gasket and a 15 cm Brembo rubber hose specifically made for the reservoir-to-pump connection, along with two clips to secure that hose in place.
Replacing a Plastic Spout Before It Breaks
Melotti Racing builds complete brake hose systems to a customer's own specification, used in the World Superbike and Supersport championships by Barni Racing, Team GoEleven and GMT94, and this fitting kit is built to the same standard: fittings supplied exclusively in stainless steel, with braided hose finished under a black covering sheath. Swapping the plastic spout for this kit before it fails, rather than after a crash forces the issue, keeps a pump in service instead of waiting on a replacement.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits racing brake and clutch master cylinders that use the same spout-and-gasket oil-recovery system as the original plastic part; it is a universal fitting kit rather than a motorcycle-specific one.
Road Approval
No type approval or test certificate applies to this kit, since it modifies the brake or clutch master cylinder for racing use; a bike fitted with it is not approved for public roads in Germany without separate registration.
