DescriptionThe whole story▼
Genuine LS2 chin curtain for the FF901 Advant X carbon models, part 801901CHC01. The curtain is the fabric-edged baffle that closes the gap under the chin bar, and it is the single most effective piece of quiet in the box.
The reason is where helmet noise actually comes from. Most riders assume it enters at the visor; in fact a large share of it arrives as turbulent air drawn up from beneath the helmet, into the space in front of your face, where it circulates and roars. Closing that gap changes the character of the noise more than any shell shape does. It also keeps cold air off your throat in winter, which is worth as much on a January commute as the acoustics.
🔑 The honest note: a chin curtain only works if it is in the helmet. They are removed for cleaning and then not refitted, and the owner concludes the helmet has become louder with age. If yours has gone missing, this is a cheap fix for a problem that feels expensive.
