DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard cap is pressed steel with a lock barrel inside it. The TF16 takes the place of the standard cap, with a threaded closure instead of a lock. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range. This listing covers a Brutale 675 across 6 model years (2012 to 2017).

- Anodised black outside, coloured inside
- Screw-on fuel cap
- Lighter than the original, by the manufacturer's account
- Threaded closure
- A stock LighTech item
At Every Fill-Up
A tank is a large painted surface with one piece of hardware in the middle. LighTech builds the TF16 as a single part with no lock cylinder inside it. A single part with a short list of arguments, all of them checkable.
Fitment
LighTech lists the TF16 for a MV Agusta Brutale 675, model years 2012 to 2017. The cap is cut for this tank: one from another model will not sit flat. Ask us first if the bike runs an aftermarket tank.
Mounting It
Fit it with the tank under half full, so a spill stays a spill. Give yourself more time than the job seems to need. We can do the fitting and a leak check in one appointment.
Before You Order
The scope of the TF16, stated plainly. The scope above is the whole scope. A fuel cap seals the tank and lets it breathe. Fit the gaskets supplied, check that the cap closes fully, and look for seepage before the first ride. Note the number TF16 down; a later reorder is then unambiguous.
What You Get
The scope of the TF16: the cap itself with its screws and gaskets. The outside is anodised black; the inner part is available in Black, Blue, Gold, Red, Silver. You supply the tools; the part comes as described.
Approval and Road Use
A word on papers, since the part sits on the tank. LighTech issues no German approval paperwork for the TF16. A tank cap has to seal and to vent, and on a road-registered Brutale 675 that is what an inspector will look at. Ask your inspection body if you want it in writing.
