DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard cap is pressed steel with a lock barrel inside it. LighTech's TF25 replaces the original filler cap of an 890 DUKE R with a screw-on one in CNC-machined aluminium. Screws and gaskets for fitting come with the cap. This listing covers an 890 DUKE R across 9 model years (2018 to 2026).

Fitment
LighTech lists the TF25 for an KTM 890 DUKE R, model years 2018 to 2026. Filler openings differ between models, and so do their caps. We would rather clarify the fitment in advance than afterwards.
Why Change the Cap
A cap is one of the few parts you can change in an evening and see every day. What the TF25 offers over the original is weight, finish and the absence of a lock. A single part with a short list of arguments, all of them checkable.
Before You Order
One point before you order the TF25. The contents are fixed, not configurable. Two things a tank cap has to do: seal and vent. Fit the gaskets, close it properly, and check it before the first ride. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Installation
Lay the screws out in the order they came out. Keep the ignition off while the tank is open. We check the seal on the lift before the bike leaves.
What You Get
The scope of the TF25: the cap itself with its screws and gaskets. The outside is anodised black; the inner part is available in Black. No approval paperwork is included — see the section below.
Approval and Road Use
A word on papers, since the part sits on the tank. The TF25 ships without German approval paperwork. On a track-only 890 DUKE R the question does not arise.
