DescriptionThe whole story▼
The tank ages fastest where hands and fuel meet. Here is the TR20: a quick-release fuel cap in aluminium, 223 g. The outer part is anodised black, the inner part coloured. The outside is anodised black; the inner part comes in Black, Blue, Red.
Key Features
- Made in Italy
- Weight 223 g
- Lighter than the original, by the manufacturer's account
- Aluminium, machined on CNC machinery
- LighTech part number TR20
- Anodised black outside, coloured inside
At Every Fill-Up
The parts nobody specifies are the ones that date a build. The TR20 opens with a push and closes the same way; there is no key to lose. No part of this needs a leap of faith.
Application
LighTech names a Suzuki GSX-R1000R, 2017 to 2026, as the application. The fit comes from the filler, which is why the listing names the bike. Ask us first if the bike runs an aftermarket tank.
Mounting It
The original cap comes off with the screws around the filler; the TR20 goes on in their place. No open flame, no cigarette, no grinder in the same room. We can do the fitting and a leak check in one appointment.
Scope and Conditions
Worth knowing about the TR20. Everything named above travels in the same package. A fuel cap seals the tank and lets it breathe. Fit the gaskets supplied, check that the cap closes fully, and look for seepage before the first ride. A quick-release cap has no lock. On a bike parked in public that is a decision, not a detail. Italian manufacture, like everything else LighTech makes.
Scope of Delivery
In the box: the cap TR20 with its screws and gaskets. The outside is anodised black; the inner part is available in Black, Blue, Red. Fuel is not included, and neither is a tank.
Before You Ride
Where this stands formally, in one paragraph. The TR20 is delivered without an ABE and without a parts certificate. On a track-only GSX-R1000R the question does not arise.
