DescriptionThe whole story▼
A cap that still looks right after three summers is worth the small money. That is what the TR20 is: a fuel cap that opens and closes with a push, milled from aluminium. LighTech states it is lighter than the original and simple to fit. It weighs 223 g.

Before You Order
One thing about the TR20 that is easy to miss. Nothing in the description is sold separately as an upgrade. Whatever else it is, the TR20 is a seal. Fit it with the supplied gaskets, close it fully and check the tank for seepage before riding. A quick-release cap has no lock. On a bike parked in public that is a decision, not a detail. Keep the part number TR20 for a later reorder.
What It Fits
This listing covers a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (2007 to 2023). Filler openings differ between models, and so do their caps. We check this before the parcel leaves if you tell us the bike.
The Last Standard Part
Nobody buys a cap for performance, and everybody notices one. The TR20 is anodised rather than painted, which is the difference between a finish that lasts and one that chips. At this price the decision is not a financial one.
Scope of Delivery
TR20 is one cap, nothing else. The outside is anodised black; the inner part is available in Black, Blue, Red. You supply the tools; the part comes as described.
Fitting
The original cap comes off with the screws around the filler; the TR20 goes on in their place. Check for seepage with the tank full before you ride. The alternative is simple: leave it to our mechanics.
Approval
This part sits on the fuel system, so a word on it. We make no approval claim for the TR20: it arrives without German documentation. A tank cap has to seal and to vent, and on a road-registered GSX-R 1000 that is what an inspector will look at. Ask your inspection body if you want it in writing.
