DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Rivale 800 there is no fairing to hide behind, so every panel is on show. That is what the CARM1012M is: a chain cover in matt carbon, sold individually. This listing covers a Rivale 800 across 13 model years (2014 to 2026). LighTech states the carbon range is lighter than the standard components it replaces.
Key Features
- Single item
- Made in Italy
- Chain Cover in carbon
- A stock LighTech item
- LighTech part number CARM1012M
- Matt finish
Weight and Surface
Bodywork is the part of a bike nobody can hide. Fitting the CARM1012M is not a compromise between looks and weight: LighTech's carbon is lighter than the standard chain cover and more visible than any paint. Beyond that there is nothing we would claim for it.
Application
LighTech lists the CARM1012M for a MV Agusta Rivale 800, model years 2014 to 2026. The fit comes from the mould, which is why the year matters more here than on a bolt-on part. We would rather clarify the fitment in advance than afterwards.
Fitting
The CARM1012M goes on without tools in some cases and with the supplied screws in others. Leave silicone to cure before the first wash. If you would rather not do it yourself, our workshop in Munich fits it.
Scope and Conditions
Read this before adding the CARM1012M to the basket. The part is supplied as a single item, as stated by LighTech. Fitting is either a few drops of silicone at the support points or the screws LighTech packs with the part — which of the two applies depends on the part, and LighTech says so itself. On cleaning, LighTech is specific: neutral detergents, nothing stronger. Keep the part number CARM1012M for a later reorder.
Scope of Delivery
The scope of the CARM1012M: the chain cover itself. Where LighTech packs screws with the part, they are in the box. Tools are not part of the delivery.
Paperwork
A word on paperwork. The CARM1012M ships without German approval paperwork. For a road-registered Rivale 800 ask your inspection body if you want it in writing.
