DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard reservoir cover is the cheapest-looking part of the cockpit. Here is the FBC07: a cover machined from solid aluminium alloy, 35 g. 2 anodised colours: Black, Red. It is a stock LighTech item.
Key Features
- A stock LighTech item
- Machined from solid on CNC machinery
- Replaces the original cover
- Ergal aluminium alloy, anodised
- 2 colours — Black, Red
- Sold individually
Before You Order
Read this before adding the FBC07 to the basket. No part of the description is optional equipment. This is the cover, not the reservoir and not its seal. Reuse the original gasket or diaphragm unless it is damaged, and check that the cover seats flat before you ride. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Two Screws, One Surface
A cockpit is judged on its smallest parts. The FBC07 answers both: LighTech mills it from solid Ergal on CNC machinery and anodises it afterwards, which is where the resistance and the low weight come from by the manufacturer's account. That is the whole case for it; there is no third argument.
Application
LighTech lists the FBC07 for a Ducati HYPERMOTARD 939, model years 2016 to 2019. LighTech states that the cover shape follows the master cylinder, which is why it is listed per bike and not as a universal lid. We check this before the parcel leaves if you tell us the bike.
Installation
The FBC07 goes on with the original seal unless that seal is damaged. Give yourself more time than the job seems to need. Our own workshop takes this kind of job on.
What Is in the Box
In the box: the cover FBC07. 2 anodised colours are available: Black, Red. Tools are not part of the delivery.
Approval
On documentation, to be clear. The FBC07 ships without German approval paperwork. The brake has to work and the reservoir has to seal; that matters more than the paperwork.
