DescriptionThe whole story▼
The licence plate holder is usually the first thing replaced on a Panigale 1199. The KTARDU109 includes brackets to adjust where the indicators and the reflector sit. The listing covers the Panigale 1199 across 6 model years (2012 to 2017).
Key Features
- Complete kit: holder, plate light and reflector, both approved
- LighTech part number KTARDU109
- Plate support sizes by country — A1 is the German format (178 × 178 mm)
- All mounting hardware included
- Optional screw kit TAR025 for a coloured washer and fixing screw
- Takes original and aftermarket indicators
Choose the Right Plate Support
One thing decides whether your plate fits at all: the support size. The German size is A1, 178 × 178 mm. The other sizes are built for other national plate formats and will not take a German plate properly. Ask us if you are unsure which format applies to you — it takes one message.
The Change That Shows Most
The rear mudguard assembly is designed by regulation, not by eye. LighTech supplies the KTARDU109 as a complete kit — the plate light and the reflector are included and both approved. That is the manufacturer's statement about the Italian road code, not a German approval.
Fitment and Compatibility
LighTech lists the KTARDU109 for the Ducati Panigale 1199. The bracket fits the Panigale 1199; the support has to fit your national plate. If in doubt, compare with the part on the bike rather than with the catalogue line.
Wiring and Mounting
Work with the Panigale 1199 on its stand and the seat removed where needed. Route the cables so nothing is pinched when the suspension moves. Nothing on the Panigale 1199 is altered permanently.
Scope of Delivery
One piece per box. Everything needed for the installation is in the box, including the indicator brackets.
Type Approval
What is approved in the KTARDU109 is the lighting, not the bracket. In Germany the plate must be clearly legible and correctly angled; that depends on how the holder is set, not on the kit. On a track-only machine none of this applies.
