DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rear hardware rusts first and is photographed most. LighTech's TAR025 is two M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25, made to finish a LighTech plate holder. Ergal 7075 is the alloy LighTech uses throughout its screw kits. Anodising is what keeps the colour on an aluminium screw head.
Key Features
- LighTech part number TAR025
- Covers a SPEED 400 across 4 model years (2023 to 2026)
- A stock LighTech item
- Listed for the Triumph SPEED 400
- Screw size M8x40
- Ergal 7075, anodised
Finishing the Plate Holder
Weight saved at thirty screws is weight saved thirty times. The TAR025 answers both: M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and conical-head washers, in the colour the plate holder is already in. The rest is a matter of taste, and that is what the colour range is for.
Fitment
The TAR025 is matched to a plate holder, not to a motorcycle. A Triumph SPEED 400 is where the holder goes; the M8x40 screws have to suit that holder. Send us a photo of the holder if the model is not on its packaging.
What Is Included
Read this before adding the TAR025 to the basket. The holder itself is a separate article. Before ordering the TAR025, LighTech asks you to verify it against your own plate holder model — the kit is built for LighTech holders. Keep the part number TAR025 for a later reorder.
Installation
The TAR025 is a five-minute job at the back of the bike. Clean the threads before fitting; old locking compound is what shears screws. Our own workshop takes this kind of job on.
What Is in the Box
In the box: two screws and two washers under TAR025. 7 anodised colours are available: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver. You supply the tools; the kit comes as described.
Paperwork
On documentation, to be clear. The TAR025 comes with no German approval document. Ask your inspection body if the plate holder it belongs to needs paperwork.
