DescriptionThe whole story▼
Steel hardware on an Ergal plate holder spoils the one part everybody sees from behind. That is what the TAR025 is: two M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25. LighTech cuts these to length rather than leaving you to sort through a box. The same alloy LighTech uses for its rearsets and plate holders.
Key Features
- Made in Italy
- LighTech asks you to check compatibility with your plate holder model before ordering
- Covers a 790 DUKE across 9 model years (2018 to 2026)
- 25 g
- For a LighTech licence plate holder
- Ergal 7075, anodised
What It Fits
The M8x40 length is the fitment question, and the holder answers it. The listing names a KTM 790 DUKE (2018 to 2026) for orientation; the screws still have to match the holder fitted to it. If you bought the holder from us, we can look the model up for you.
Two Screws, One Detail
Steel in aluminium threads is a decision somebody made for you. Ergal 7075 at the back of a 790 DUKE means the screws will still come out next year. Nothing here needs to be taken on trust: the specification is LighTech's own.
What Is Included
Worth knowing about the TAR025. Two M8x40 screws and two washers — that is the content. The manufacturer is explicit here — compatibility with your LighTech plate holder model needs checking before the TAR025 is ordered. Note the number TAR025 down; a later reorder is then unambiguous.
Mounting It
Fitting the TAR025 needs one hex key. Aluminium fasteners want a torque wrench, not a long lever. The alternative is simple: leave it to our mechanics.
What You Get
TAR025 covers both plate holder fixing points. 7 anodised colours are available: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver. No approval paperwork is included — see the section below.
Approval
A word on paperwork. No German approval document comes with the TAR025 — no ABE and no Teilegutachten. Ask your inspection body if the plate holder it belongs to needs paperwork.
