DescriptionThe whole story▼
A plate holder is finished when its fasteners match it. Here is the TAR025: M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 with matching conical-head washers. LighTech cuts these to length rather than leaving you to sort through a box. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Key Features
- 7 colours — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver
- For a LighTech licence plate holder
- A stock LighTech item
- Covers a CBR 1000 RR across 3 model years (2017 to 2019)
- Listed for the Honda CBR 1000 RR
- Screw size M8x40
Why Matching Hardware
Anodised aluminium does not bloom white the way plated steel does. The TAR025 is the finishing kit LighTech builds for its own plate holders. What it does not do is change how the bike rides.
Fitment
Whether the TAR025 fits is a question about your holder. A Honda CBR 1000 RR is where the holder goes; the M8x40 screws have to suit that holder. LighTech asks you to check compatibility with your plate holder model before ordering — tell us which holder you have and we will check it with you.
Fitting
Two screws come out, two go in; the plate stays where it is. Nothing about this benefits from being done quickly. Our own workshop takes this kind of job on.
One Thing to Note
The scope of the TAR025, stated plainly. Two M8x40 screws and two washers — that is the content. Before ordering the TAR025, LighTech asks you to verify it against your own plate holder model — the kit is built for LighTech holders. Note the number TAR025 down; a later reorder is then unambiguous.
Supplied As
Delivered are the two M8x40 screws and the two washers of the TAR025. The kit comes in 7 colours — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver. The LighTech instruction sheet is in the box where one is supplied.
Approval
A word on paperwork. We make no approval claim for the TAR025: it arrives without German documentation. On a registered CBR 1000 RR the plate holder is the registration-relevant part, not the screws — but your inspection body decides.
