DescriptionThe whole story▼
The screws are the detail that makes a tail tidy look deliberate rather than improvised. What LighTech sells as the TAR025 is the fastener pair for its plate holders, M8x40. 7 anodised colours to match the rest of the bike. LighTech cuts these to length rather than leaving you to sort through a box.

Before You Order
A detail on the TAR025. Nothing in this box carries a number plate on its own. Check your plate holder model against the TAR025 before ordering; LighTech asks for that step, and so do we. A stock LighTech item, so a second one is not a special order.
Why Matching Hardware
Fasteners are the only part of a bike that gets touched at every service. A plate holder is a visible part, and the TAR025 is what completes it. Everything else about it is colour.
Fitment
The TAR025 is matched to a plate holder, not to a motorcycle. We show it for an BMW M1000R because that is the application of the holder it finishes. If you bought the holder from us, we can look the model up for you.
In the Workshop
The TAR025 is a five-minute job at the back of the bike. Observe LighTech's torque figures — aluminium screws in aluminium threads do not forgive an overtightened fastener. If you would rather not do it yourself, our workshop in Munich fits it.
Supplied As
You receive the TAR025 as two M8x40 screws with matching washers. Anodised in Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver, 7 options in all. Thread lock is not included.
Approval and Road Use
On documentation, to be clear. LighTech supplies the TAR025 without a type-approval certificate. Clarify it in advance if the M1000R is used on public roads.
