DescriptionThe whole story▼
A plate holder is held on by two screws, and they are usually the part that lets it down. LighTech's TAR008 is two M8x35 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25, made to finish a LighTech plate holder. LighTech cuts these to length rather than leaving you to sort through a box. It is a stock LighTech item.

Finishing the Plate Holder
A kit means the right length in the right place, which a hardware-shop handful does not. The TAR008 is the part that makes a LighTech plate holder look like one piece. The rest is a matter of taste, and that is what the colour range is for.
Mounting It
Two screws come out, two go in; the plate stays where it is. Nothing about this benefits from being done quickly. If you would rather not do it yourself, our workshop in Munich fits it.
Fitment
LighTech ties the TAR008 to its plate holder range. We show it for an Yamaha R1 because that is the application of the holder it finishes. Tell us your plate holder model and we confirm the right kit before dispatch.
What Is Included
What the TAR008 does and does not include. The kit replaces the fixings; the holder stays as it is. LighTech's own instruction is to confirm compatibility with your plate holder model before buying the TAR008. Keep the part number TAR008 for a later reorder.
Supplied As
TAR008 covers both plate holder fixing points. Choose from 6 anodised finishes: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Red, Silver. The kit arrives in LighTech's own packaging.
Paperwork
On approval documents. There is no ABE and no parts certificate in the box with the TAR008. For a road-registered R1, clarify with your inspection body whether a number plate holder and its hardware need documentation in your case.
