DescriptionThe whole story▼
The screws are the detail that makes a tail tidy look deliberate rather than improvised. The TAR008 covers both fixing points of a LighTech plate holder with M8x35 hardware. The kit is a stock item, not a special order. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Key Features
- Listed for the Ducati Panigale 1299
- Covers a Panigale 1299 across 7 model years (2012 to 2018)
- LighTech asks you to check compatibility with your plate holder model before ordering
- LighTech part number TAR008
- Screw size M8x35
- Two flat-head screws and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25
Why Matching Hardware
Nothing on a bike is seen more often and considered less than its screws. With the TAR008 the plate holder stops being finished with whatever hardware was to hand. A small part with a short list of arguments, all of them checkable.
Scope and Conditions
The scope of the TAR008, stated plainly. It is the finishing hardware, and the holder is bought separately. Check your plate holder model against the TAR008 before ordering; LighTech asks for that step, and so do we. We hold LighTech as a stock range, so repeat orders are routine.
Fitment and Compatibility
Fitment here runs through the plate holder, not the model year. The vehicle shown is Ducati Panigale 1299; the part that decides the fit is the holder on it. If in doubt, measure the screw you are replacing and tell us the length.
What Is in the Box
Delivered are the two M8x35 screws and the two washers of the TAR008. Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Red, Silver: 6 finishes for the same part number. Documentation for German registration is not part of it — see below.
In the Workshop
Do it with the plate off, then refit the plate once. A drop of thread lock belongs on anything that sees vibration. We will fit it for you on request.
Approval
Where the registration question stands. We make no approval claim for the TAR008: it arrives without German documentation. For a road-registered Panigale 1299, clarify with your inspection body whether a number plate holder and its hardware need documentation in your case.
