The Part a Boot Rubs
The heel guard is the part a boot rubs against every ride. The FTR959 renews a scuffed plate. Made in Italy.
Materials and Build
A heel guard is a wear surface, and it is built as one. Weight is 23 g, which on the motorcycle is felt where it matters. LighTech manufactures it in Italy.
Before You Order
A detail on the FTR959. The description above is the full scope. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
What It Fits
LighTech lists the FTR959 as a universal item. On the motorcycle it replaces the plate that came with the rearset. If in doubt, compare with the part on the bike rather than with the catalogue line.
In the Workshop
Fitting the FTR959 is two or three screws. Work to the torque figures of the motorcycle; a rearset carries the rider's weight. Check everything again after the first ride.
Supplied As
One piece per box. One side per article — check gear side or brake side.
Approval
There is no ABE and no Teilegutachten for the FTR959. Whether it is accepted on your motorcycle is for the inspection body to decide. Have the brake function checked after fitting, whatever your inspector says.
