DescriptionThe whole story▼
The handlebar is the only control surface you hold for the entire ride. The LighTech MOZ5010 is the handlebar holder: 50 mm fork diameter, 40 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 10° inclination, 350 g. Offset, height and inclination are fixed by the part, so the geometry is a decision you make once. It is a stock LighTech item.
Key Features
- Made in Italy
- Inclination 10°
- Tubes are listed separately
- A stock LighTech item
- Fork diameter 50 mm — the fork has to match
- Simple and quick to fit, according to LighTech
Mounting It
The MOZ5010 goes on with the front of a CBR 1000 RR supported and the fork unloaded. After the first ride it is worth checking the fasteners again. Our own workshop takes this kind of job on.
Why Clip-Ons
Vibration is mass and frequency, and only one of the two is yours to change. The MOZ5010 is machined aluminium at 50 mm fork diameter, 40 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 10° inclination — light enough not to add unsprung weight at the bars, strong enough to be the part that holds your hands. Everything else about it is finish and colour.
Fitment
LighTech names a Honda CBR 1000 RR, 2004 to 2019, as the application. The fork diameter is the figure to verify: 50 mm. If your CBR 1000 RR runs a different fork, this is the wrong part number. Ask us first if your CBR 1000 RR has had its front end changed.
Before You Order
One thing about the MOZ5010 that is easy to miss. What arrives is the part itself. LighTech lists the handlebar tubes as separate items, so check whether you already have a usable pair before ordering. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
What You Get
Delivered is the holder MOZ5010, without tube. The finish is Black. No approval paperwork is included — see the section below.
Approval
Changing the handlebars of a road-registered motorcycle is not a cosmetic matter in Germany. Whatever the part does, the MOZ5010 comes with no German approval document. If the CBR 1000 RR carries a plate, ask your inspection body first — this is not a question to answer after the fact.
