DescriptionThe whole story▼
Few details announce a properly finished RC8 like the hardware that frames the cockpit — and the LighTech FBC06 front brake fluid reservoir cap is exactly the kind of precision accessory that separates a considered build from a standard one. Machined in Italy from high-tensile Ergal aluminium and finished with a laser-engraved LighTech logo, it carries genuine motorsport heritage into every ride.
Key Features
- CNC-machined from Ergal aluminium — the same aerospace-grade alloy favoured in top-level competition for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio
- Hard anodised finish resists scratches, UV fading and the corrosive effects of brake fluid contact, keeping the colour sharp season after season
- Laser-engraved LighTech logo — not a sticker, not a decal, an identity that will not wear away on track or road
- Available in seven anodised colours: black, red, gold, orange, silver, green and blue — choose the shade that completes your RC8's livery
- Plug-and-play fitment; no specialist tools required for a quick, clean swap
- Supplied as a single direct-replacement unit for the OEM front reservoir cap
Design, Finish and Heritage
LighTech has been producing precision billet aluminium accessories for the racing paddock since the company's earliest days, and the FBC06 is a distillation of that experience. The Ergal alloy billet is held in a CNC machining centre and cut to tolerances that the original plastic cap cannot match, producing a component that threads on with satisfying precision and seats flush every time.
The anodising process penetrates the aluminium surface rather than sitting on top of it, which means the colour is structurally part of the component. Whether you choose the understated depth of black, the aggression of red or the warmth of gold, the finish will remain consistent regardless of exposure to sunlight, cleaning solvents or the occasional splash of brake fluid during a fluid change.
The laser-engraved LighTech logo on the cap face is a mark of provenance. LighTech components are developed alongside race teams, and that paddock credibility is built into the FBC06 just as much as it is into the brand's more complex lever and rearset systems.
