DescriptionThe whole story▼
The original clutch lever on an R9 is heavier than it needs to be. The LighTech LEVXF116H is the folding Model H clutch lever in magnesium and aluminium, 270 g, with the latest geometry in the range. It bolts to the R9 with the original hardware — nothing else is needed.
Key Features
- No drilling, no cutting, nothing permanent on the R9
- Folding design: the lever gives way instead of snapping at the perch
- 270 g — lighter than the original clutch lever of the R9
- Model H is the newest of the three lever models
- It costs less than the bodywork a folding lever protects
- Sold individually; a matched pair on the R9 is two part numbers
Scope of Delivery
One lever per box for the R9. The opposite side is a separate part number.
Weight at the Bar End
A clutch lever that folds is a clutch lever that survives the car park. At 270 g the LEVXF116H takes weight off the left bar end of the R9. J, K and H differ in finish and geometry; the material is the same.
Fitment
The listing is the R9, model years 2025 to 2026. Nothing on the R9 is drilled; the factory lever comes off and this one goes on.
In the Workshop
Changing the LEVXF116H on an R9 is a ten-minute job with hand tools. Set the reach before the first ride, not at the first corner. Re-check the pivot bolt after the first ride.
J, K and H
The H exists because the earlier geometry did not suit every hand. It sits differently in the hand on the R9, which is the entire argument for it. Choosing between this and the plain black J and the insert-equipped K is a question of hand and taste, not of fit.
Regulations
LighTech's own documentation calls the range road-code compliant. That is the manufacturer's statement, not a German type approval — no ABE or parts certificate comes with the LEVXF116H. For a track-only R9 none of this applies.
