DescriptionThe whole story▼
An F3 800 at 798 cc asks a lot of the front brake, and the lever is the interface. Enter the LEVD123K: a 240 g folding brake lever for the F3 800, Model K (ALIEN), with the ALIEN rubber inserts — black as standard, other colours on request. It costs a fraction of the fairing a folding lever saves on an F3 800.
Key Features
- Replaces the factory lever directly on the F3 800
- Reach adjustment the original F3 800 lever does not offer
- The blade is the sacrificial part, not the master cylinder of the F3 800
- 240 g — lighter than the original brake lever of the F3 800
- The inserts are available in other colours as separate LighTech items
- Folding design: the lever gives way instead of snapping at the perch
What Folding Buys You
The original lever on an F3 800 is designed to a cost, not to a hand. The LEVD123K is Model K (ALIEN): foldable, 240 g, and lighter than the part it replaces. The three models — J, K and H — differ in finish and geometry, not in construction.
What It Fits
LighTech catalogues the LEVD123K for the F3 800 (2013 to 2025). The LEVD123K uses the original pivot bolt and the original perch of the F3 800.
What Is in the Box
What arrives is the blade, the adjuster and the pivot parts. Grip inserts and spare pivots are listed under their own numbers.
Changing It Over
No fluid is lost fitting the LEVD123K to a F3 800 — the circuit stays closed. Check that the blade folds freely by hand once the bolt is tight. Nothing on the F3 800 is altered permanently.
The Three Lever Models
On the K the blade is not bare metal where it matters. The inserts are a wear part and are replaced on their own. If this is not the one, the plain black J and the newer H geometry fit the F3 800 identically.
Road Approval
LighTech states that its brake and clutch levers are produced in compliance with the highway code and the applicable laws. What LighTech declares and what a German inspector needs are not the same document. If the F3 800 carries a plate, ask your inspection body before fitting — practice differs by region.
