DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fasteners corrode first and look worst, and they are the cheapest part to change. The LighTech 1H7M is the engine bolt kit for a CBR 1000 RR — 24 pieces, Ergal 7075, anodised, 76 g. LighTech lists it for a CBR 1000 RR. Anodising is what keeps the colour on an aluminium screw head.
Key Features
- LighTech part number 1H7M
- Made in Italy
- 5 colours — Black, Blue, Gold, Red, Silver
- Replaces the engine-side fasteners
- A stock LighTech item
- Listed for the Honda CBR 1000 RR
What It Fits
The 1H7M is intended for a Honda CBR 1000 RR from 2017 to 2019. The fastener pattern was unchanged across 3 model years, so one part number covers them all. A chassis number settles any doubt about the year faster than a table.
Thirty Screws, One Colour
A screw is the cheapest part on a motorcycle and the most annoying one to get wrong. The 1H7M is among the cheapest visible changes to a CBR 1000 RR. That is the whole case for it; there is no third argument.
One Thing to Note
Read this before adding the 1H7M to the basket. It is a replacement set, not an accessory: the original screws come out, these go in. LighTech states the kit contains 24 pieces — that is the figure for this part number, not for the range. Note the number 1H7M down; a later reorder is then unambiguous.
Fitting
Do it in sections so that no cover is ever left unsecured. Clean the threads before fitting; old locking compound is what shears screws. The alternative is simple: leave it to our mechanics.
Scope of Delivery
Delivered are all 24 pieces of the 1H7M. The kit comes in 5 colours — Black, Blue, Gold, Red, Silver. Thread lock is not included.
Road Approval
The paperwork question, briefly. We make no approval claim for the 1H7M: it arrives without German documentation. Clarify it in advance if the CBR 1000 RR is used on public roads.
