DescriptionThe whole story▼
Standard fasteners rust, and on a CB1000R nothing hides them. LighTech's 1H8M replaces the engine fasteners of a CB1000R with 30 pieces in anodised Ergal 7075. The kit is a stock item, not a special order. LighTech cuts these to length rather than leaving you to sort through a box.
Key Features
- Made in Italy
- Anodised to improve durability, according to LighTech
- A stock LighTech item
- 80 g
- Covers a CB1000R across 9 model years (2018 to 2026)
- 5 colours — Black, Blue, Gold, Red, Silver
Thirty Screws, One Colour
Anodised aluminium does not bloom white the way plated steel does. With the 1H8M the engine side of a CB1000R gets fasteners that are lighter than the originals and stay the colour they arrived in. Nothing here needs to be taken on trust: the specification is LighTech's own.
Mounting It
Do it in sections so that no cover is ever left unsecured. A drop of thread lock belongs on anything that sees vibration. We can do the fitting and the check over in one appointment.
Application
LighTech names a Honda CB1000R, 2018 to 2026, as the application. The fastener pattern was unchanged across 9 model years, so one part number covers them all. Ask us first if the engine or frame of your CB1000R has been changed.
Scope and Conditions
Read this before adding the 1H8M to the basket. The scope is the hardware itself; the parts it holds stay untouched. LighTech states the kit contains 30 pieces — that is the figure for this part number, not for the range. One question before ordering is cheaper than one return afterwards.
Scope of Delivery
In the box: 30 pieces under 1H8M. 5 anodised colours are available: Black, Blue, Gold, Red, Silver. The LighTech instruction sheet is in the box where one is supplied.
Approval and Road Use
What comes with it in terms of documentation. The 1H8M comes with no German approval document. For a track-only CB1000R this does not arise.
