DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard clip-ons of a CBR 1000 RR were chosen for the average rider, who does not exist. LighTech's CLP500025 is the bracelet pair at 50 mm fork diameter, 25 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 7° inclination. LighTech lists it for a CBR 1000 RR. Offset, height and inclination are fixed by the part, so the geometry is a decision you make once.
Key Features
- Inclination 7°
- Listed for the Honda CBR 1000 RR
- Offset +25 mm
- Made in Italy
- Covers a CBR 1000 RR across 16 model years (2004 to 2019)
- LighTech states these brackets must be ordered together with the tubes HBT001NER (260 mm) or HBT012NER (275 mm)
Mounting It
Controls, cables and brake lines have to follow the new position — check the full steering lock before riding. Observe LighTech's torque figures — machined aluminium does not forgive an overtightened thread. Our own workshop takes this kind of job on.
Riding Position
The standard part does the job at the lowest price the factory could manage. With the CLP500025 the position is fixed and known: 50 mm fork diameter, 25 mm offset, height ±0 mm, 7° inclination. Nothing about that is adjustable after fitting, which is exactly why the numbers matter before ordering. It is a small part with a short list of arguments, all of them checkable.
Fitment and Compatibility
This listing covers a Honda CBR 1000 RR (2004 to 2019). The fork diameter is the figure to verify: 50 mm. If your CBR 1000 RR runs a different fork, this is the wrong part number. If your CBR 1000 RR is not on the list, ask us — LighTech covers more vehicles than are listed here.
One Thing to Note
What the CLP500025 does and does not include. Everything in the box is named above. LighTech states that this type of bracket has to be purchased together with the handlebar tubes, code HBT001NER (260 mm) or HBT012NER (275 mm). The CLP500025 is the clamp pair; the tubes are a separate order. Keep the part number CLP500025 for a later reorder.
What You Get
CLP500025 covers both fork legs — clamps only. The finish is Black. No approval paperwork is included — see the section below.
Approval and Road Use
On a registered bike the handlebar is part of what was type-approved. No German approval document comes with the CLP500025 — no ABE and no Teilegutachten. On a registered CBR 1000 RR the inspector decides, and a phone call in advance is cheaper than a failed inspection.
