DescriptionThe whole story▼
Autoclave-cured carbon is a different product from the carbon-look sticker sold next to it. The CARD1020 is LighTech's glossy carbon rear mudguard for a Panigale 1199. It is a stock LighTech item. LighTech lists it for a Panigale 1199.
Key Features
- Lighter than the standard component, according to LighTech
- Listed for the Ducati Panigale 1199
- In many cases autoclave-cured, which LighTech credits for its strength
- Single item
- Rear Mudguard in carbon
- Glossy finish
Weight and Surface
Weight at the ends of a motorcycle matters more than weight in the middle. The CARD1020 replaces the rear mudguard and nothing else — a single part, glossy carbon. Beyond that there is nothing we would claim for it.
In the Workshop
Work on a clean, dry surface: carbon sits flush or it does not sit at all. Leave silicone to cure before the first wash. Fitting is part of what we do on site.
Application
LighTech lists the CARD1020 for a Ducati Panigale 1199, model years 2012 to 2017. The piece matches the contour of this bodywork generation and no other. Tell us the vehicle and we check the fitment before dispatch.
Before You Order
One thing about the CARD1020 that is easy to miss. It arrives as a single item, which the manufacturer states for this number. Depending on the part, the CARD1020 is bonded with a little silicone at the support points or screwed on with the fasteners in the box; LighTech does not promise one or the other for every item. On cleaning, LighTech is specific: neutral detergents, nothing stronger. Ask us if anything is unclear before ordering.
What You Get
You receive the CARD1020 as one part, glossy finish. Where LighTech packs screws with the part, they are in the box. The part arrives in LighTech's own packaging.
Approval
On documentation, to be clear. The CARD1020 ships without German approval paperwork. Clarify it in advance if the Panigale 1199 is used on public roads.
