DescriptionThe whole story▼
Precision-engineered from genuine autoclave carbon fibre, the LighTech CARA3020 rear mudguard replaces the factory plastic unit on your Aprilia RSV4 or RSV4 1100 with a component that meets the material and manufacturing standards demanded by professional racing. Every panel leaves the autoclave with a verified structural integrity that plastics simply cannot match — giving you confidence on track and kerb-side credibility on the road.
Key Features
- Genuine autoclave carbon fibre construction delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, shedding meaningful mass over the OEM mudguard without sacrificing rigidity
- High-gloss lacquer finish brings a refined, deep-lustre appearance that complements the aggressive lines of the RSV4 generation
- Autoclave manufacturing process ensures consistent fibre consolidation and resin cure, producing a component held to racing-grade structural standards
- Direct OEM-replacement geometry means no cutting, drilling or fabrication — all required fixing hardware is supplied in the box
- Equally at home on a road-registered superbike or a dedicated track machine, combining durability with genuine weight savings
Build Quality & Performance
LighTech produces this mudguard using a controlled autoclave cure cycle, the same process used in MotoGP and World Superbike programmes. The elevated temperature and pressure environment eliminates voids within the carbon weave, producing a laminate that is both lighter and stiffer than anything achievable with conventional cold-cure or wet-lay methods. The glossy topcoat is then applied and cured to protect the weave pattern from UV degradation and the minor abrasion inevitable in everyday use.
Unlike many aftermarket carbon panels that rely on a fibreglass substrate with a superficial carbon appearance layer, the CARA3020 uses genuine through-carbon construction — every ply contributes to the structural performance of the finished part. The result is a mudguard that looks purposeful because it genuinely is.
Care & Maintenance
To protect the carbon surface and maintain the gloss finish, clean only with mild, pH-neutral products. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, abrasive cloths, and high-pressure jet washing directed at the panel surface. A periodic coat of quality carbon wax or ceramic detailer will further protect the lacquer from road contamination.
