DescriptionThe whole story▼
In close company, the clutch lever of an RS 660 is the first thing to get hit. The ISS116LC is 132 mm long, measured from the fixing point at the bar end to the centre of the tip. This is the left-side guard; the brake side is a separate article. LighTech lists it for the RS 660. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Key Features
- 132 mm guard length, measured from the bar end to the centre of the tip
- Carbon keeps the added mass at the bar end low
- Mounts on the left-hand side of the RS 660
- Sold individually; the coloured end piece is also available on its own
- Carbon body with an anodised aluminium end piece
- Adapter required — the matching one is preselected in the “Adapter” option
Carbon at the Bar End
Weight at the bar end changes how an RS 660 turns in. LighTech describes the ISS116LC as made for track use and for the road. Many circuits will not release an RS 660 onto the track without one.
Before You Order
A LighTech lever guard does not mount without its adapter. Without the right adapter the ISS116LC has nothing to bolt to on the RS 660. The matching adapter is KPL331, the preselected value of the “Adapter” option. Already running KPL331? Then “Without Adapter” is the value for you.
Construction and Material
Two materials, each doing what it is good at: carbon for the arm, aluminium for the end. Weight is 119 g, which on the RS 660 is not a consideration. Production is in Italy, as it is for the whole LighTech range.
What You Get
The ISS116LC is supplied individually. A matched pair on the RS 660 means two guards and two adapters.
What It Fits
This listing covers the Aprilia RS 660, 2020 to 2026. The guard is common to many machines; the adapter is what makes it fit the RS 660. Have ISS116LC and the model year to hand and the question is settled in one message.
Fitting
The adapter goes into the bar first, the guard onto the adapter. Make sure nothing fouls the bodywork of the RS 660 before the first ride. Inspect it at every service of the RS 660.
Approval and Road Use
The ISS116LC is sold without approval paperwork of any kind. An added part on the RS 660 can come up at a technical inspection. For a road-registered RS 660, clarify it with your inspection body before fitting.
