DescriptionThe whole story▼
Abrasion does more damage in a slide than the impact that started it. The ECPYA014 is the clutch cover protector, 429 g, finished in black with the logo lasered in. It costs a fraction of an engine case. LighTech states it is suitable for road use.
Key Features
- Black finish with a laser-etched LighTech logo
- LighTech states it is suitable for road use
- Protects the clutch cover of the TRACER 9 against impact and abrasion
- No approval paperwork is supplied — see the note below
- Compact design that follows the engine line
- Keeps the original engine casing intact in a slide on the right side
The Case Is the Repair Bill
The repair bill after a slide is written by the cases, not the bodywork. The ECPYA014 carries a black finish with the logo lasered into it. A stock LighTech item.
Materials and Build
Cut from solid stock, which is what gives it its impact resistance. Weight is 429 g, which on the TRACER 9 is not a consideration. Production is in Italy, as it is for the whole LighTech range.
Before You Order
Everything required to fit the ECPYA014 is in the box. Nothing on the TRACER 9 is drilled, cut or permanently altered. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
What It Fits
This listing covers the Yamaha TRACER 9, 2026. It bolts over the original case of the TRACER 9 with the supplied screws — nothing is removed permanently. If in doubt, compare with the part on the bike rather than with the catalogue line.
Mounting It
Installation is plug and play: the screw kit is in the box. Work to the torque figures of the TRACER 9; overtightening is the usual mistake. Inspect it at every service of the TRACER 9.
What Is in the Box
One piece per box. Everything needed to bolt it on is in the box.
Approval and Road Use
LighTech does not certify the ECPYA014 for road use, and neither do we. That LighTech calls it road-suitable says nothing about German registration law. On a track-only machine the question does not arise; on a registered TRACER 9 it might.
