DescriptionThe whole story▼
Bar ends are small enough to ignore and visible enough to notice. LighTech's KTM400 is a pair of 400 series handlebar balancers. This listing covers a 790 DUKE across 9 model years (2018 to 2026). Metal and aluminium instead of the plastic-capped original.
Key Features
- A stock LighTech item
- Designed to reduce handlebar vibration
- Body black; CAP001 is available in orange, cobalt, black, gold, red, silver and green
- 270 g
- Metal and aluminium construction
- Sold as a pair
Before You Order
The scope of the KTM400, stated plainly. No part of the description is optional equipment. LighTech states it clearly: to mount this 400 series balancer you must also order the coloured part CAP001 separately, which is sold in pairs. The KTM400 is the body — the colour is a second part number. We hold LighTech as a stock range, so repeat orders are routine.
Why Bar End Weights
Geometry at the bars is the one setting that changes everything downstream. The 400 series splits the part in two: metal-and-aluminium body here, colour in CAP001. LighTech states the design cuts vibration at the bars of a 790 DUKE. It is a small part with a short list of arguments, all of them checkable.
What It Fits
LighTech names a KTM 790 DUKE, 2018 to 2026, as the application. The bars were unchanged across 9 model years, so one part number covers them all. If your 790 DUKE is not on the list, ask us — LighTech covers more vehicles than are listed here.
In the Workshop
Changing bar ends on a 790 DUKE is a hand-tool job of a few minutes per side. Nothing about this benefits from being done quickly. Fitting is part of what we do on site.
What You Get
The scope of the KTM400: two 400 series weights, no coloured part. The finish is Black. Documentation for German registration is not part of it — see below.
Approval and Road Use
What comes with it in terms of documentation. No German approval document comes with the KTM400 — no ABE and no Teilegutachten. For a road-registered 790 DUKE ask your inspection body if you want it in writing.
