Position, Not Decoration
The standard pegs of an XSR900 GP are placed by the marketing department. The STANDARD version of the FTRYA017 uses fixed footpegs, fixed toe pegs and GC-TECH heel guards. Made in Italy, machined from solid.
How It Is Made
Machined from solid: that is what gives the FTRYA017 its rigidity at this weight. Weight is 1600 g, which on the XSR900 GP is felt where it matters. LighTech manufactures it in Italy.
Worth Knowing
Before ordering the FTRYA017. Height on the XSR900 GP is a separate purchase: the RFTR244 support kit. Every individual component is also available separately, which keeps the kit repairable. LighTech warns that the heel guards of the two rearset series are not interchangeable — order a replacement by the kit it belongs to.
What It Fits
This listing covers the Yamaha XSR900 GP, 2021 to 2026. Check that the XSR900 GP is in standard condition — an exhaust or a linkage change can occupy the same space. If in doubt, compare with the part on the bike rather than with the catalogue line.
Installation
The original rearsets come off first, then the FTRYA017 goes on. Thread-lock the bolts that LighTech specifies for it — vibration finds the ones you skip. The original parts go back on the XSR900 GP at any time.
Supplied As
LighTech ships the FTRYA017 as listed. Nothing from the original rearsets has to be reused.
Approval
There is no ABE and no Teilegutachten for the FTRYA017. Rearsets change the operating position of the brake and gear controls, which is what makes them more than a styling part. Have the brake function checked after fitting, whatever your inspector says.
