Fitment and Compatibility
Fitment is the MT-09 across 2021 to 2026. The original brackets come off and the kit goes on in their place. The part number FTRYA017 is the binding reference, not the model name.

Machined from solid: that is what gives the FTRYA017 its rigidity at this weight. LighTech gives the weight as 1600 g. Made in Italy throughout.
Why Rearsets
Ground clearance and knee angle are set by the same part. Every part of the FTRYA017 is available separately, which is what makes it repairable. The UP & DOWN kit RFTR244 is the optional height adjustment.
In the Workshop
The original rearsets come off first, then the FTRYA017 goes on. Set the lever heights before the first ride, not at the first corner. The original parts go back on the MT-09 at any time.

The FTRYA017 is supplied as a complete kit for both sides. Every individual component is also listed on its own.
Before You Order
What the FTRYA017 can be adjusted to — and what it cannot. The adjustment range on the MT-09 is horizontal. For vertical adjustment LighTech lists the UP & DOWN kit RFTR244 separately. The RFTR244 comes in five anodised colours if you want it to match. The two LighTech rearset series use heel guards that are not interchangeable, and the manufacturer warns against mixing them.
Approval
We list the FTRYA017 without an approval claim because LighTech issues none. Rearsets change the operating position of the brake and gear controls, which is what makes them more than a styling part. For a road-registered MT-09, clarify it with your inspection body before fitting.
