DescriptionThe whole story▼
Light grey adventure trousers are rare, and the MultiTour 7.5 in Steel makes the most of it: the pale upper legs stand out in traffic, while black knees and lower legs take the dirt. Beneath the colour sits a fully equipped layered pant, with a removable HydraDri MAX waterproof liner, a removable thermal liner and Level 2 protection at knees and hips.
Key Features
- Light grey upper for visibility, black lower legs for durability
- Zip-out HydraDri MAX liner, 30,000 mm / 30,000 g/m²
- Zip-out thermal liner for cold riding
- EN 17092-3:2020 certified, Class AA
- Knee and hip protectors: 3DF, EN 1621-1 Level 2
- Knee pads repositionable by up to 5 cm
- Front and rear leg ventilation zips
Weather Flexibility
Leatt describes the MultiTour 7.5 as a four-way pant. Ride with the RipStop shell alone and open the leg vents when it is hot. Add the HydraDri MAX liner for wet days or the thermal liner for crisp mornings, depending on what the forecast brings. Because the liners zip in, the pant is easy to pull on in every configuration.
Materials
The main shell is heavy-duty Leatt RipStop with SuperFabric reinforcement in high-impact zones. Aramid panels on the inside of the lower legs resist heat, and leather inside the knees adds grip and durability where the pant rubs on the bike. Stretch areas at the knees, crotch and rear yoke keep movement free.
Protection
The 3DF knee and hip protectors are certified to EN 1621-1 Level 2, and the entire pant meets Class AA. Taller and shorter riders can move the knee pad by up to 5 cm to get it on the joint, and a calf strap stops it from shifting while riding.
Closure and Comfort
A ratchet front closure and waist adjustment straps set the fit, and removable suspenders keep the waistband where it belongs on long days. Large hook-and-loop adjusters at the lower leg open up for an over-the-boot fit, and smooth material inside the boot area prevents snagging. The long connection zip links the pant to a Leatt jacket.
Pockets
Two large waterproof cargo pockets sit on the upper legs, and two zipped hand-warmer pockets complete the storage.
Who It Suits
The MultiTour 7.5 in Steel is for riders who travel through very different climates on one trip and want a single pant for all of them, with the bonus of a lighter colour that makes them more visible. It connects to Leatt jackets via the long zip, and the light grey works well with the Royal colourway of the MultiTour 7.5 jacket.
Sizes
Leatt gives each size a US waist figure in inches (30 to 40 in this colour) and an EU equivalent, as shown below.
What you should know
The light grey upper needs more frequent cleaning than an all-black pant. The waterproof protection comes from a liner rather than the outer shell, so it must be zipped in before the rain. At about 2,800 g, this is a substantial touring pant. The Steel colour is available from S to 3XL. Leatt includes a 5-year warranty and plastic-free packaging.
Colour
Steel combines light grey on the thighs and hips with black knees, black shins and a black seat. Bronze Leatt logos on the thighs and sandy tan leather on the inner knees add warmth to the grey. It matches the lighter MultiTour jacket colourways and brings more visibility than the stealth version.
